Recently, as I was praying for the church and the nations of the world, a great sorrow began to rise up inside of me. Throughout Scripture, we find evidence of His great generosity towards His creation. As the vision continued, I could see Jesus sitting alone by a road with people running up and down it. The important point is that the Bible simply does not condemn the celebration of Christmas even in the traditional form and we have liberty in Christ to choose to do so. Who will fill these missing places in the body of Christ? What is meant to be a time of blessing and joy becomes instead, a time of stress and depression. In all their mad rush to give and get, they missed the greatest treasure of all, sitting right in front of them. It simply can’t! The very nature of God is to give, to create, and to bless His creation.
